Parental Affective Style and the Treatment of Schizophrenia

摘要: • In a randomized controlled study, the affective style (AS) of parents schizophrenics in clinic-based individual treatment groups and home-based family was compared prior to again three months after had begun. Affective is an index reflecting quality emotional climate, measured from face-toface discussion. Pretherapy posttherapy measures negative AS were significantly predictive relapse within nine-month period for patients treatment. addition, both groups, pattern at reassessment associated with decreased patient social functioning, reduced ability absorb intervention, lower capacity cope everyday stresses. The results suggest that important intrafamilial attribute, implications strategy planning.
