摘要: As the hair follicle is one of most rapidly growing tissues in body, it must be nourished by a rich blood supply. Histological studies have indicated that number vessels about exceeds resting follicle, so we postulated might provide its own angiogenic stimulus during certain phases growth. Reported here are experiments testing properties (anagen) follicle. Using rabbit corneal pocket angiogenesis assay and cycled anagen rat vibrissae follicles, found mesenchymal dermal papilla had no properties, but bulb was angiogenic. These findings suggest mechanism for cycling follicles an example normal epithelium to mesenchyme interactions.
