摘要: AIMS--To study the overexpression of p53 protein in Barrett's oesophagus with adenocarcinoma, and to correlate this expression pathological features syndrome. METHODS--Immunohistochemical staining was performed on frozen sections a monoclonal antibody directed against wild type mutated (Pab 1801). Eleven cases adenocarcinoma were studied, seven which had extensive sampling benign mucosa. RESULTS--Eight 11 adenocarcinomas overexpressed protein. Both early advanced tumours positive. In mucosa around positive tumours, high grade dysplasia positive; low non-dysplastic negative. CONCLUSIONS--P53 gene mutation ensuing is common feature both at stages. This appears as relatively late event during neoplastic transformation oesophagus.
