Crystal field influence on the 8S7/2 ground state splitting of Bk4+ in CeF4

摘要: The one-particle models of crystal-field theory provide a qualitative interpretation for the observed ground state splitting four Kramers doublets 8S7/2 Bk4+ doped into CeF4. A set nine nonzero (Bqk) parameters corresponding C2v point symmetry very good correlation between experimental data and simulated energy level schemes within rms deviation 13.7 cm−1. calculated values have same order-of-magnitude excited components. total S-state ions f-elements such as in CeF4 is larger when compared with Cm3+:LaCl3 Gd3+:La(C2H5SO4)3⋅9H2O ions. so-called strength parameter, Nv, increases function increasing maximum due to decrease participation pure final composition eigenvector.
