摘要: Aplysia californica has been used to study the protein synthetic response of nervous tissue stress induced by elevated temperatures. The abdominal and pleural ganglia as well associated connectives were exposed various temperatures for 30 min, labeled with [33S]methionine at room temperature, then analyzed sodium dodecyl sulfate gel electrophoresis. All cells examined responded greater than 31 degrees C a reduction in levels actin, enhanced labeling proteins apparent Mr 70,000 110,000. Two-dimensional electrophoresis indicated that molecular weight isoelectric focusing properties are similar heat shock (HSPs) observed other systems. In addition these major HSPs, heat-induced weights ranging from 90,000 highly neurosecretory bag cells. Further cell type-specific differences revealed quantitation HSPs. Levels HSPs significantly lower ganglion compared non-neuronal connective addition, decrease actin appeared be less dramatic Analysis cellular compartmentalization suggests both neurons glia capable HSP synthesis. Studies squid have demonstrated transferred adaxonal into axoplasm (Tytell, M., S. G. Greenberg, R. J. Lasek, unpublished observation).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
