Baseliner: An open-source, interactive tool for processing sap flux data from thermal dissipation probes

摘要: Estimating transpiration from woody plants using thermal dissipation sap flux sensors requires careful data processing. Currently, researchers accomplish this spreadsheets, or by personally writing scripts for statistical software programs (e.g., R, SAS). We developed the Baseliner to help establish a standardized protocol processing data. enables users QA/QC and process combination of automated steps, visualization, manual editing. Data establishing zero-flow reference value, “baseline”, which varies among with time. Since no set algorithms currently exists reliably estimate baseline, provides graphical user interface allow visual inspection manipulation are first automatically processed defined parameters. The can then view additional, baseline identification mouse keyboard commands. open-source allows customization as improved methods developed.
