摘要: Background: Importance of nutrition in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is well-established; however, the information regarding diet quality people living with HIV (PLHIV) especially India lacking. Objectives: The objective this study to assess anthropometric and nutritional profile Indian PLHIV. Material Methods: was performed on 400 adult PLHIV registered at Antiretroviral Center (ART) center New Delhi, India. Anthropometric data including height, weight, waist, hip, mid arm, calf circumferences, were collected; 1-day 24-h dietary recall done gather nutrient intake from which adequacy ratios computed. Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) also conducted. Results: mean body mass index (BMI) sample 19.73 ± 3.55 kg/m 2 around 40% having BMI <18.5 . All measurements found correlate positively significantly CD4 count (P < 0.05). consumed poor as they could not meet even 2/3 rd Council Medical Research (2010) requirements for energy, protein, calcium, iron, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, B12, copper, zinc. Classification subjects according MNA indicated that more than 50% at-risk malnutrition 34% malnourished.
