Recent developments still focus on topical fixed combinations substances with complementary effects in order optimize efficacy without promoting bacterial resistance, which major concern resulting from inadequate use antibiotics. New innovative targets pathophysiology are rare. Easy, convenient application patient education the basis ensure adherence, has been identified vital factor success this disease. The implementation European evidence-based S3 guidelines represents advancement supporting decisions based literature review instead expert opinion alone traded therapy concepts.
