摘要: We present the first simulation of effect Z-mode waves on outer radiation belt electron dynamics. calculate bounce-averaged diffusion rates in pitch angle and momentum then use them as inputs to solve a 2-D momentum-pitch equation. Numerical results show that phase space density (PSD) 1 MeV electrons can enhance substantially very rapidly (e. g., 30 minutes). In particular, rate exceeds cross at 0.5 above, behavior completely different from for EMIC chorus waves. Consequently, (instead or cross) plays dominant role dynamic evolution energetic electrons. Moreover, PSD is found be dependent upon assumed initial particle distributions. These provide further insights interplay between acceleration mechanisms Citation: Xiao, F., S. Zhang, Z. Su, He, L.
