Intra-patient variability in tacrolimus trough concentrations and renal function decline pediatric transplant recipients. Abstract:  High intra-patient TCL exposure is a risk factor for allograft loss late acute rejection. We hypothesized that higher leads to faster GFR patients adolescents have due poorer adherence. included 69 children aged 3.5–18 yr who had undergone transplantation between April 1996 May 2009 two nephrology centers the Netherlands. analyzed over period of one yr calculated using VC. investigated correlation estimated four yr. The median was 30.1% (range 8.6–77.6) mean slope −3.8 mL/min/1.73 m2/yr. VC correlated neither with slope, nor patients’ age. However, rejection (p = 0.045). were unable provide evidence high function, although exposure. Adolescents do not than younger children.
