摘要: Background Bactrocera dorsalis and B. correcta are economically important fruit fly pests of crops, vegetables, fruits, nuts worldwide, especially in China. Nowadays China, is a second notorious pest many fruits after dorsalis. Different botanicals have been tested against the but case correcta, no records were published. Methodology This study evaluated repellency four (Seriphidium brevifolium, Piper nigrum, Azadirachta indica quercetin) acetone dilutions (5%, 2.5% 1%) at laboratory conditions (25 ± 2 °C, 60 5% relative humidity, photoperiod L:D 14:10 h). Results The number visits 24-48 h, oviposition punctures, pupae made by both species lower on treated mangoes comparison to untreated mangoes. S. P. A. quercetin significantly reduced visits, ovipositional species. Among botanicals, nigrum was most effective repellent as well However, harmful effects these natural enemies still unknown.
