摘要: Aim: To evaluate the association between changes in platelet indices (platelet count, mean volume, distribution width) and development of preeclampsia. Materials methods: Two hundred pregnant women at 20 to 24 weeks gestation with singleton pregnancy normal blood pressure were enrolled after taking well-informed consent. At monthly intervals CBC (complete count) was done from till 40 7 days delivery. Data regarding increasing collected analyzed. Results: Platelet count decreased significantly patients preeclampsia compared (19.4% vs 7.4%). Mean volume increased (44.5% 9.22%). Increase PDW observed (47.19% 29.4%). Conclusion: Patients are more likely have significant decrease increase MPV. These can be an earlier gestational age than rise BP directly proportional progressive hypertension. Thus, estimation considered as early, simple cost-effective procedure assessment severity
