摘要: Heart failure (HF) patients show inability to regulate autonomic functions in response challenges. The deficits may stem from brain tissue injury central regulatory areas, resulting ischemic and hypoxic processes accompanying the condition. However, direct evaluation of correlations between structural functional timing magnitude neural signal patterns within affected which lead impaired outflow, is unclear. In this study, we evaluate responses Valsalva maneuver with blood oxygen level-dependent magnetic resonance imaging 29 HF 35 control subjects changes using diffusion tensor imaging-based mean diffusivity a subsample 19 24 subjects. showed decreased activation multiple motor including cerebellum cortices, vermis, left insular, putamen, bilateral postcentral gyrus. Structural emerged similar autonomic, as well cognitive mood regulation areas. Functional MRI insula are delayed or challenge. insular cerebellar sites correlated severity changes. These results indicate that regions, involved regulation, compromised, these areas have basis for functions. Our study enhanced our understanding alterations underlying regulations
