摘要: With 2 figures and 5 tables Abstract Ergot caused by Claviceps purpurea (Fr.) Tul. is a serious threat to rye (Secale cereale L.) cultivation. It produces sclerotia containing mixture of alkaloids toxic animals humans. For improving ergot resistance in reliable field testing with minimal disturbance pollen transfer between plots indispensable. We evaluated 85 cultivars four types cultivar (population, synthetic, hybrid cultivars, hybrids blended 10% population rye) under inoculation 3 years (2005, 2006 2007) analysed incidence (% affected heads) severity grain weight) at nine ten environments (location × year combinations), respectively. Cultivar were separated border each entry was additionally surrounded similar size (3–8 m2) chess-board design. Disease level ranged from 10–27% heads 0.7–2.6% individual environments. Both, type showed significant (P = 0.01) variation for both traits, interactions environment also (P = 0.01). Population had less than half the disease other traits. Synthetic, hybrid, did on average not differ significantly other. Blending an ergot-reducing effect only more susceptible entries. The best two reaction some cultivars. However, still amount (0.37% vs. 0.89%). Ergot highly correlated. conclude that good genotypic differentiation among achievable across years this design within national listing trials feasible.
