摘要: The treatment of root cultures Datura stramonium with copper and cadmium salts at external concentrations approximately 1mM has been found to induce the rapid accumulation high levels sesquiterpenoid defensive compounds, notably lubimin 3-hydroxylubimin. These compounds were undetectable in unelicited cultures. No net change was seen alkaloid content system following Cu2+ or Cd2+, tropane titre apparently being insensitive elicitation. However, a considerable and, some instances, reversible release observed. This resulted appearance up 50–75% total medium after 40–60 h. Subsequently, treated ions, though not Cd2+ this re-absorbed. observations show how, single system, different groups secondary products can distinct differences their responses potential elicitors.
