摘要: Objectives . The purpose is to report findings of a quality improvement (QI) project implemented at two hospital-based dental clinics that care for children with early child- hood caries (ECC). Methods We tested disease management (DM) approach in younger than age 60 months ECC. r esults After 30 months, the 403 and 234 DM patients Children's Hospital Boston (CHB) Saint Joseph (SJH) who returned least visits, rates new cavitation, pain, referrals OR were 26.1, 13.4 10.9% CHB 41.0, 7.3 14.9% SJH. Rates historical controls 75.2, 21.7, 20.9% 71.3, 31.3, 25.0% Conclusions A risk-based utilizing QI strategies address ECC can be into practice has potential improve health outcomes.
