摘要: Design culture is usually considered as one of the important aspects that influence designers’ decisions and actions, especially in for Base Pyramid projects including ICT Healthcare Product Rural China (IHDRC). There are two research questions this issue: what cultural factors how these values. This paper investigates first question focusing on own background. Based existing models such Hofstede’s onion model, framework Mohammad Mariano Julier’s discourse, authors propose four dimensions relevant: 1) Education skills designer 2) Consumption design 3) Manufacturing 4) activities’ management organization. After rounds interviews with Chinese professors students, 15 within were finally identified. The results show unconscious impact can be better controlled even altered if designers aware factors.
