Temporal and spatial emission behaviour of homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge driven by unipolar sub-microsecond square pulses

摘要: A homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge is generated by sub-microsecond square pulses. Two separate discharges per voltage pulse were observed, a primary at the rising edge of and secondary falling edge. Photos taken with high-speed ICCD camera an exposure time 5 ns show that evolution process first (primary) quite different from second (secondary) discharge. The starts bulk gap whole reaches its maximum emission intensity within 20 ns. Before starts, there are weak layers next to both electrodes. develops anode expands towards cathode, marked presence dark space adjacent weakly luminous cathode layer.
