摘要: The vibrational distribution of the singlet metastable state N2(a1 Pi g) was measured in a DC glow discharge by optical emission spectroscopy Lyman-Birge-Hopfield bands VUV range. pressure ranged from 4 mTorr to 2 Torr and current 5 50 mA. observed is strongly non-Boltzmann. A population inversion similar that aurora at low but not higher pressures. experimental results are compared with kinetic model based on solutions electron Boltzmann equation rate balance equations for levels.
