摘要: A single social defeat in male rats has long lasting physiological and behavioural consequences, which are similar to those seen depressive patients. In addition, the housing conditions after appear be crucial for development of depression-like symptoms. Because dopaminergic system is thought altered illness, we investigated impact individual group on temporal changes dopamine transporter (DAT) binding a defeat. The number striatal DAT sites was reduced animals that remained isolated being defeated. isolation length amplified this effect, indicating DAT. returned familiar density not affected. We conclude reduces sites. contrast, environment appears prevent stress-induced alterations system. This finding suggests critical when investigating central nervous effects rats.
