摘要: To clarify a possible cause of hyperainylasemia in end-stage renal disease (ESRD), histological studies were performed on the pancreatic glands twenty-seven autopsied patients with ESRD who had received long-term hemodialysis. The findings compared those similar number age-matched control subiects. Histological evidence pancreatitis was found 51.9% as 14.8% controls (p < 0.005). chronic nature 85.7% showing changes pancreatitis. Secretin administration to an additional group twelve induced elevation activities both total and P-type serum amylase only one patient. These suggest that although alterations are common ESRD, they probably not responsible for hyperamylasemia frequently such patients.
