摘要: According to the Encyclopedia Britannica (1969), Middle East includes following countries: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Arabian Peninsula, Egypt, Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, Cyprus, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Libya. This paper is a survey of prehistoric rodents found in these countries. Many more Pleistocene subrecent sites are known, but unless contained faunal lists, they will not figure here. In respect few sites, no published literature was available.
