摘要: Background: Serum amyloid A (SAA) is an acute phase protein whose concentration increases in inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic conditions animals human beings. Multicentric lymphoma a common cancer dogs, chemotherapy indicated to attain long-term survival. However, frequent relapses lead changes chemotherapeutic protocols. Objectives: The aims of this study were evaluate SAA as marker for relapse multicentric dogs determine whether induces the during treatment. Methods: was measured by ELISA test healthy control (n=20), receiving (n=8), with (n=20). All randomly assigned 2 treatment groups, one cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednisone (CVP) other methotrexate, l-asparaginase (VCMA) protocols. determined before at weeks 1–4 lymphoma, then every 3 4 months sample prior lymphoma. only once dogs. Results analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA followed Tukey multiple comparison tests compare groups treatment. Results: Mean significantly higher compared No increase found relapse. differences observed based on type protocol. Conclusions: not nor does regimen affect concentration.
