Visceral histologic lesions of lethal acute colchicine poisoning. Apropos of 12 cases

摘要: The authors reported histological characteristics (on post-mortem examination) of 12 cases lethal acute colchicine intoxication and compare these results with the 5 previous anatomical studies such in literature. Abnormal mitosis (stathmocinesis, "caryomerie", caryorrhexis mitonecrosis) are constant essentially seen bone marrow digestive mucosae, especially oesophagus which squamous epithelium is more resistant to autolysis than others mucosae. Biological or symptoms lesions intravascular diffuse coagulation present 7 but both biological manifestations only one case. Hematological disorders when 0.5 mg/kg (of corporeal weight) has been ingested. Granulocytic elements most affected by hypoplasia (essentially first four days) maturation troubles. A microvacuolar non systematized liver fatty change found 10 cases, probably related alteration lipoproteins synthesis secretion hepatocytes. Interstitial myocardial oedema a feature; addition true interstitial myocarditis (with infiltration polymorphs) two cases. These cardiac may be cardiogenic shock often observed patients.
