摘要: Background: The cost-effectiveness of albumin-based fluid support in patients with septic shock is currently unknown. Methods: In a simulation study, we compared standard medical practice and systematic 20% albumin infusion. study population consisted admitted to one the 28 ICUs belonging Cub-Rea regional database between 1 January 2014 31 December 2016. Cost estimates were based on French diagnosis-related groups fixed daily prices. Estimation mortality reduction relied ALBIOS trial data documenting Risk Ratio 0.87 non-preplanned subgroup shock. Life expectancy was estimated follow up 184 year 2000 same ICUs. Several sensitivity analyses performed including one-way Deterministic Sensitivity Analysis (DSA) Probabilistic multivariate (PSA). Results: About 6406 included. base-case scenario, mean live years gained 0.49. extra cost using €480 per year. €974. confirmed robustness results. probability being cost-effective 95% 97% for threshold at €20 000 €30 000 life-year saved, respectively. Conclusion: Based risk observed analysis dataset, application results may suggest that infusion likely
