摘要: Abstract There is an increasing interest for sustainable forms of livestock production systems, which will provide a balanced relationship between environmental, socio-cultural and economic factors. The small ruminant sector examined with particular focus on the possibilities improving sustainability systems possible role organic to meet demand sustainability. Current regulations highlighting different approaches interpretation farming among countries are reviewed. Regulations concerning US EU compared. For future development farming, strong harmonisation rules legislation at international national level needed. process conversion from conventional poses several problems mainly due inadequate technical knowledge value-added activities farm or regional poorly organized marketing. Breeding strategies, feed management disease control in discussed. Animal selection should be designed reinforce, manner, relationships animals environment. Feed require better integration agriculture livestock, transition monoculture mosaic, spatial temporal agricultural components. Possible alternatives chemoprophylaxis available helminth diseases, such as use homeopathic treatment, improvement genetic resistance parasite infections. Harmonisation assistance local may contribute increase not only developed but also developing countries. Certification valorisation products key points guarantee promote this sector.
