摘要: Abstract The ionic composition, stable isotopes and total salinity pattern of waters from the aquifer Kurnub 'Arad groups (Lower Cretaceous-Jurassic) suggest that these replaced previous formation brines. hydrologic regime which caused flushing is same as filled formerly-described Group (“Upper Nubian Sandstone”) central southern Negev. Infiltration took place during humid phases Pleistocene, through outcrops along igneous massif Sinai. Northward, subsurface flow was made possible mainly by opening outlet zones regional faults accompanying Syrian-African rift system. layers beneath Coastal Plain were not flushed no available due to deep burial under a thick impermeable cover Shefela Saqiye groups. Alternative models other authors (Mesozoic Recent flushing) are briefly discussed.
