摘要: Membrane transporters represent an important class of proteins responsible for regulating cellular and physiological solute fluid balance. With the sequencing human genome, it has been estimated that approximately 500 to 1,200 genes code transport (Venter et al., 2001). In terms xenobiotic disposition, a smaller fraction these are currently known significantly interact with drugs. particular, localized at key gateway tissues within body such as intestine (Tsuji Tamai, 1996; Suzuki Sugiyama, 2000b), liver (Keppler Konig, 2000; 2000a), kidney (Inui Dresser 2001), placenta (Ganapathy 2000), brain (Tamai Tsuji, Gao Meier, 2001) critical modulators drug absorption, tissue distribution elimination have subject recent reviews.
