摘要: The mechanisms by which cells evade the lethal effects of cytotoxic drugs have been subject intense investigation cell and molecular biologists for more than 20 years. Much this work was stimulated initial success cancer chemotherapy in disseminated childhood cancers such as leukemias, neuroblastoma, sarcomas, germ-cell tumors choriocarcinoma testicular cancer, responsiveness other lymphomas, breast, ovarian cancers. These clinical successes suggested that metastatic could be cured with chemotherapy, yet many cases promising remissions were followed regrowth drug-resistant possibility cure, coupled hope a defined set reversible resistance mechanism delineated, led to interest studies drug resistance.
