摘要: Abstract Recent advances in analytical chemistry, such as miniaturization, automation, robotics, parallel separations, detection systems and chemometrics, have found interesting applications the development of drug-discovery programs. To select drug candidates, these programs require high-throughput screening (HTS) assays, which evaluate biological activity a large number compounds against panel targets, well determining physicochemical pharmacological properties compounds. However, need to obtain information earlier process has posed new challenges chemistry. This article presents critical overview of: • current techniques approaches used selecting candidates; limitations that be overcome; and, recent HTS assays proposed overcome limitations.
