摘要: Concentration of cadmium in blood an elderly population with a mean age 87 years was studied relation to age, pressure, BMI, cognitive function, gender and smoking. This population-based study consisted 804 subjects both men women. Clinical examination included medical social history, physical neurologic examination, assessment functions Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Information on prescription non-prescription drug use collected. Anti-hypertensive drugs all medicines potentially used for treating high pressure. Blood pressure measured. Whole from 763 analysed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (GFAAS) Zeeman background correction graphite furnace using the L'vov platform technique including quality control. Differences concentrations were related non- smokers (3.9 nmol/l), previous (4.4 nmol/l) current (7.5 nmol/l). There no relations between or functions. In conclusion, increased levels found smokers. A possible contribution occupational exposure needs be further evaluated.
