Piezoelectric apparatus and process for detection of insect infestation in an agricultural commodity

摘要: Detection of insect infestation in an agricultural commodity is provided by piezoelectric means for generating electricity response to vibration only a frequency above about 500 Hertz, vibrational communication with the commodity. The present invention may be utilized detect variety different insects such as rice weevil, lesser grain borer, angoumais moth, numerous types commodities including corn, wheat, nuts, cotton, etc.. Various embodiments are disclosed use means, on probe, sample cup, device telemetry, and various container containing e.g. truck, ship, railroad car storage bin silo or elevator.
