摘要: Male - female incompatibilities can be critical in keeping species as separate and discrete units. Premating postzygotic hybrid sterility/inviability have been widely studied isolating barriers between species. In recent years, a number of studies brought attention to postmating prezygotic arising from male competition interactions. Yet little is known about the genetic basis isolation Using D. simulans lines with mapped introgressions mauritiana into their third chromosome, we find at least two causing breakdown competitive paternity success. Eighty one genes within introgressed regions were identified broad-sense candidates on reproductive tract expression male-related function. The list was narrowed down five based differences mauritiana. Another ten confirmed using evidence adaptive gene coding sequence diversification and/or lineage. Our results show complex for conspecific sperm precedence, interactions chromosome loci. Pleiotropy also evident correlation precedence induced fecundity identification candidate that might exert an effect through conflict immunity. We loci responsible precedence. A these are located 89B cytogenetic position, highlighting possible major role this position during evolution specific adaptations challenges.
