摘要: Abstract Recent years have seen increasing awareness of the deficiencies conventionally defined national income as a measure nation's overall economic performance. Alternative measures been proposed involving either modification accounting conventions, or abandonment itself in favour something such Genuine Progress Indicator, GPI. However, alternatives, like itself, all involve use monetary valuation for aggregation. This paper proposes new approach to measurement performance, which follows naturally from ecological economics study activity rooted proper appreciation its material circumstances, and does not using prices The gives some results three variants approach, compares discusses them. While this purport provide single definitive assessment sustainability current activity, is an infeasible goal, it could useful inputs relevant research policy analysis debate.
