摘要: The microorganism community that grows under duckweed shelter can play an important role on treatment processes. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess zooplankton dynamic and microbial in ponds (DPs) applied for domestic wastewater open field conditions. A pilot system comprised of two DPs series (DP1 DP2), with 10 m2 each, received through a flow rate 200 L·day-1. Thus, was monitored during 314 days samples collected analysed weekly. Also, organisms were identified quantified. DNA sequencing performed order identify bacterial populations. findings showed high efficiency nutrient removal 93% 91% total phosphorus nitrogen, respectively. density microcrustaceans observed DP1 reaching 4,700 org.100 mL-1 rotifers (over than 32,000 mL-1) DP2, could be related low suspended solids concentration (<30 mg·L-1) turbidity (<10 NTU). strong heterogeneity between along seasons. Through these findings, it is possible realise understanding ecology help enhance operation designs DPs.
