摘要: To describe the epidemiology of opioid-use disorder in rural United States (U.S.) as it pertains to HIV and hepatitis C transmission treatment resources. Heroin fentanyl analogs have surpassed prescription opioids their availability opioid markets adding (HCV) overdose risks. Only 18% individuals live towns with inpatient services which are limited quality utility. Opioid programs that provide methadone not located areas only 3% primary care providers ability prescribe buprenorphine. National models resources been established but lack implementation leading ongoing HCV overdose. Addressing adverse impact U.S. will require a concerted effort implement effective treatments according national standards.
