摘要: Four of the five genes in human growth hormone gene cluster are expressed villous layer placenta. We report that expression these genes, hCS-A, hCS-B, hCS-L, and hGH-V, coordinately induced during fetal development, increasing between 12 20 weeks gestation then plateauing through term. Within context this coordinate activation, at widely different levels alternatively spliced patterns. There is a developmentally regulated switch relative two chorionic somatomammotropin hCS-A hCS-B. Starting from approximately equal 8 gestation, 5-fold more abundantly than hCS-B by The proportion hGH-V transcripts retain intron 4 also regulated, 3-fold to 15% A small percentage hCS stably majority derived gene. hCS-L undergo distinct, stable, splicing pathways exons 2 3. These result absence normal splice-donor site activation cryptic splice-acceptor sites. Despite high sequence identity, four placentally generate complex set mRNAs based on alternative developmental regulation gestation.
