摘要: A thermopower study has been performed on the charge-density wave (CDW) material orthorhombic tantalum trisulphide (o-TaS3), for temperatures in range 300K to 55K. Above ∼63K, S is positive and varies a manner which, although qualitatively similar that reported by other workers, differs detail. In particular, between Tp∼215K at which coherent CDW formation occurs ∼55K, displays hysteretic temperature dependence. Similar obviously related behaviour also observed longitudinal conductivity of o-TaS3. discussion these phenomena given along with their possible origin.
