摘要: Abstract 3-chloro-4(dichloromethyl)-5-hydroxy-2(5H)-furanone (MX) was tested without exogenous activation in L51785/TK +/− -3.7.2C mouse lymphoma cells for mutation at the thymidine kinase locus and clastogenicity. At a concentration of 0.75 μg/ml, induced mutant frequency 1027 per 10 6 survivors (survival = 11%). A concentration-related increase large small colony mutants observed, but majority MX formed colonies, consistent with positive clastogenic response that observed. primarily chromatid breaks rearrangements (30 4 chromosome aberrations 100 cells) μg/ml dose. These studies indicate induces broad spectrum genetic damage.
