摘要: A simple procedure for estimating earthquake‐induced permanent deformations of earth dams, embankments and slopes is presented. The analytical model based on computed obtained by using Newmark's sliding‐block analysis actual recorded acceleration time histories. incorporates the effect earthquake magnitude through use equivalent uniform cycles motion. Uncertainties in parameters used are accounted modeling error theory. Normalized plots a computer program presented that provide probability deformation critical sliding mass will exceed specified value. results from this probabilistic can be expressed terms damage probabilities form seismic performance matrix. matrix an overall risk dam, embankment or described companion paper.
