Prognostic value of cyclin B in endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma

摘要: Cyclins are a group of cell cycle regulatory proteins. Cyclin B acts as an activator to cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), protein essential for G2/M phase transition. Deregulation cyclins has been linked number malignant neoplasms, but the impact on clinicopathological parameters seems be cancer-specific. Overexpression cyclin shown affect survival in some tumors, including breast and esophageal cancer, its endometrial cancer not extensively studied. For this study, 211 endometrioid adenocarcinoma samples were obtained from patients surgically treated at Oulu University Hospital. The immunohistochemically stained analyzed expression. relationships between expression conventional prognostic factors analyzed. A discrimination threshold analyses was calculated by utilizing receiver operator characteristic (ROC) method. correlated with grade advanced stage. Survival showed that affects cancer-specific univariate analysis. In multivariate analysis, results indicative may hold independent significance, further studies required assess this.
