摘要: The Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSEs) are a group of rare neurodegenerative diseases, which can be transmitted between members the same species and possibly across different species. link emergence Bovine Encephalopathy (BSE) new variant form Creutzfedlt Jakob Disease (vCJD) has been cause much public concern. vCJD is most widely known human TSEs but by no means common; inherited sporadic forms more prevalent. agent responsible for these diseases conformationally altered normal cell surface glycoprotein, called prion protein (PrP). isoform must present disease to progress, incubation time decreases with increased PrP expression. There still cure any recent advances in understanding how expression regulated at genetic level, exogenous factors modulating levels, may provide insights into potential therapeutic targets management down regulation cellular levels.
