Use of arterialized venous blood sampling during incremental exercise tests

摘要: Close agreement between arterialized venous and arterial pH, PCO2, lactate has previously been demonstrated during steady-state exercise. The purpose of the present study was to compare K+, lactate, pyruvate, epinephrine constantly changing circumstances an incremental exercise test. Eight normal subjects undertook test (increasing by 20 W/min) exhaustion on a cycle ergometer which simultaneous samples were drawn over last s each work load. Linear regression values showed that r varied from 0.97 0.99 for variables examined and, therefore, accurate estimates could be made results testing. For many purposes it assumed equaled without serious error.
