摘要: Abstract The synthesis of new class compound based on CeO 2 as pigments has been reported. starting material used for preparation the is mixed rare earth carbonate, which an intermediate product obtained during beneficiation monazite mineral to separate different metals. This paper presents direct use carbonate without separation individual oxides pigment preparation, thereby reducing cost and improving eco-efficiency process. effect dopants, mineralizers colour formation studied in detail by XRD, SEM UV–vis spectrophotometer (CIELAB parameters), particle size analyzer. From this study, we optimized conditions syntheses oxide solid state reaction route develop brown pigments. Pigment properties such moisture content, oil absorption, bleed resistance, opacity, gloss, etc., evaluated found be acceptable range. Nominal composition was Ce 0.75 Pr 0.05 Ln 0.20 O 1.9 , where includes, La, Nd, Sm, Gd.
