摘要: Abstract The wear rate and the friction coefficient of short fibre composites (carbon fibre- or glass fibre-reinforced plastics) made by injection moulding are measured microstructures examined scanning electron microscopy. is found to be a function abrasive particle size orientation with respect sliding direction. varies due ploughing action. evidence lateral flaking mechanism crack generation/propagation effect presented. A new, theoretical equation derived from combination theory fracture mechanics concepts which an extension two previous semi-empirical expressions.
