Embryonic neural transplants across a major histocompatibility barrier: survival and specificity of innervation.

摘要: The ability of embryonic tissue to survive cross-transplantation between histologically incompatible rat strains was examined by transplanting septal neurons from Sprague Dawley fetuses adult Wistar rats (Ag-B6 Ag-B2 histocompatibility haplotype). Transplants were found without rejection over a period 3 months. Furthermore, the laminar pattern cholinergic innervation similar that homogenic transplants and intrinsic projections. These results suggest neural transplanted across major barriers are capable survival for extended periods time, in support concept privileged nature as source material cross-transplantation.
