摘要: Cell polarity arises out of asymmetry the distribution and organisation cell contents. Polarity is an important feature all living organisms much energy devoted to breaking symmetry establishing polarity. Recent developments in our understanding how budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae establishes maintains for division shed light on universal mechanisms that may be relevant both asymmetric polarised migration other organisms. Here, we summarise some recent cytoskeleton associated signalling molecules as it relates migration. Parallels are drawn between planar apical-basal epithelial tissues front-back migrating cells.
