Urodynamic differentiation of parkinson disease and the shy drager syndrome

摘要: The urodynamic findings of 29 patients with Parkinson disease (PD) and lower urinary tract symptoms were compared those nine the Shy-Drager syndrome (SD). All PD had bladder contraction normal filling pressures, 90% detrusor hyperreflexia. Among SD, 67% areflexia, 33% involuntary contractions, 45% poor vesical compliance. In all SD who a voiding cystourethrogram, an open neck at rest was demonstrated, but it found only in prior prostatectomy. electromyography external sphincter showed some form motor neuron lesion 39% consistent just sphincteric activity 61%. A neurological evaluation typical atypical Parkinsonism can assist differentiating between these two entities.
