摘要: Method development and applications of hyphenated techniques as tools for speciation analysis metal-based pharmaceuticals are summarized within this review. Advantages limitations the separation modes—high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), gas (GC)—as well detection modes—inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) electrospray ionization–mass (ESI-MS)—are discussed. ICP-MS is found to be advantageous quantification drugs containing metals other heteroatoms. The species-independent sensitivity multielement capabilities allow it used even when species-specific standards not available, determine stoichiometry in metallodrug–biomolecule interactions. Molecular information that totally destroyed ICP applied ionization source therefore obtainable via can accessed by complementary technique ESI-MS. Speciation combining both elemental molecular a powerful tool their metabolites body fluids relevant matrices.
