摘要: BackgroundAnatomical staging of amyloid accumulation has thus far largely relied on cross-sectional PIB and autopsy data. The present study sought to instead derive anatomical staging from the spatiotemporal dynamics of amyloid using longitudinal PIB data. We examined initially global PIB-adults, to focus on identifying a subset of early-accumulating (Stage-1) regions which exhibit slight baseline regional elevations that predict subsequent global changes in amyloid, and later-accumulating (Stage-2) regions that were not predictive of change but were themselves changing.
